Privacy Policy

Mahdar is made by CoralCell Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales ("we"). This policy explains what the app does with your information. Contact: contact@coralcell.com.

What stays on your phone

Your tasks, lists, meetings, recordings, transcripts, notes and chat history are stored only on your device. We do not run a server that receives or keeps them, and there is no account. Deleting the app deletes all of it.

What is sent for analysis

When you finish a recording or import an audio file, the audio is sent over an encrypted connection to Google's Gemini model, through Google Firebase, to be transcribed and analysed. The result comes back to your phone. When you use "Ask about this meeting" or "Explain more", the meeting's transcript text and your question are sent the same way.

We do not keep a copy of the audio, the transcript or the results. Google processes this content as our service provider under its terms for paid Gemini API use, which state that it is not used to train Google's models. See Gemini API Additional Terms and Firebase privacy.

Recording other people

Recording people without their knowledge is unlawful in many places. You are responsible for telling everyone in a meeting that you are recording and getting their agreement. The app reminds you of this before your first recording.

Usage, crash and purchase information

• Anonymous identifier. The app creates a random identifier with Firebase Authentication. It is not linked to your name, email or phone number.
• Analytics. Google Analytics for Firebase records how the app is used, for example that a meeting was analysed, how many minutes long it was and how many tasks it produced. It never records the content of your meetings, tasks or notes.
• Crash reports. Firebase Crashlytics collects technical details when the app crashes (device model, OS version, the code that failed).
• Subscriptions. Payments are handled by Apple or Google. RevenueCat, our subscription provider, receives the purchase receipt and the anonymous identifier so the app knows whether you have Pro. We never see your payment details.

We use this information only to run, fix and improve the app. We do not sell it and do not use it for advertising.

Retention and your rights

Usage and crash data are kept by Google and RevenueCat for their standard retention periods. Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask us for access to, or deletion of, data linked to your anonymous identifier: email us with the identifier shown in the app's Settings. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.

Children

Mahdar is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
